William Wallace

Died on the 16/09/1915 from a bullet wound to the side / shock. Wound received the previous day at Mazingarbe near Loos

The Battalion arrived at Boulogne on the 08/07/1915 and were part of the 44th Brigade, 15th (Scottish) Division. William arrived in France 6 days later. William was hit by a German bullet in the side 2 months later when out with a work party on the 15/09/1915. His wound was not seen as being serious with his Doctor stating he died from shock the following day. THE BATTALION WAR DIARY 15/09/1915 : "Usual working parties at night. Nothing special to report".
