John Murray

The Battalion arrived at Boulogne on the 14/08/1914 and were part of the 8th Brigade, 3rd Division. John arrived in France on the 04/12/1914. John is listed as MURPHY on the Coatbridge Memorial. John was secretary to the St. Patrick's Billiards Club and was highly respected in athletic circles. John was 1 of 12 killed near Ypres. His grave inscription reads "R.I.P." John is remembered on the St. Patrick's Church Roll of Honour.
