Daniel Muir

The Battalion arrived at Boulogne on the 11/05/1915 and were part of the 97th Brigade, 32nd Division when Daniel fell. He arrived in France on the 01/10/1915. Daniel was Killed in Action on the third day of the British Counter Offensive in early August 1918. This was the Battle of Amiens, 8th - 17th August 1918 : The British Fourth Army attacks alongside French forces further south and scores a notable victory and a deep advance from Amiens : Ludendorff calls the 8th August "the black day of the German Army". Daniel was reburied in Rosieres Communal Cemetery Extension (see photos).
