Killed in Action on the 20/07/1917 at Ypres

The 6th Battalion arrived at Boulogne on the 11/05/1915 and were part of the 27th Brigade, 9th (Scottish) Division. on the 07/05/1916 they transferred to 45th Brigade, 15th (Scottish) Division and amalgamated with 7th Battalion to become the 6/7th Battalion. David arrived in France on the 30/09/1915. David suffered from phlebitis in 1915 and a sprained ankle in 1916. The 45th Brigade took over the Divisional front line at Ypres from the 44th Brigade on the 10/07/1917 and stayed there till the 46th Brigade took over on the 19/07/1917 with the 45th proceeding to Toronto Camp. The Divisional Orders for the Battles of Ypres were issued the day after David fell. David is listed as MACKINTOSH on the Coatbridge Memorial. He is also remembered in the St. Augustine's Parish (book) Roll of Honour.
